Dr. Neil Brody
Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Neil Brody is a board certified dermatologist practicing general and cosmetic dermatology with a unique approach to his patients. He completed his undergraduate degree at Boston University and subsequently went on to attend the New York University School of Medicine where he earned a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology and a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD). Dr. Brody completed his Dermatology residency training at New York University and a fellowship in immunology at Cornell Medical Center. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Brody started the first photobiology outpatient centers in both Brooklyn and Long Island where he began an outpatient psoriasis care center. Dr. Brody has been involved in groundbreaking research in numerous facets of dermatology including work on the immunology of melanoma and more recently antioxidants and their effects on skin. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Brody’s collaborations with pharmaceutical and medical device companies have led to the development of lasers and topical products that are currently being used by countless practicing specialists nationwide.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Brody has served as Vice Chairman of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he ran the inpatient and consulting services and was the first laser officer at the center. He continues to run a weekly journal club and clinical conferences for the residents. While Dr Brody loves teaching and original research what he cares most about is patient care.
